The Lercher Family & Daniel Leitner welcome you in Murau!
Since 1910 the Murauer Gasthof is owned by the Lercher family – today already in the 3rd generation.
The hotel ist run by Anna Lercher as the CEO since May 2022 and supported by her mother Dagmar Lercher.
Since December 2018, Daniel Leitner (spouse of Anna Lercher) is chef des cuisine and he manages the kitchen true to the motto: Styrian cuisine with Austrian diversity.
Adolf Lercher is always dedicated to his guests and welcomes the guests personally!
The 5 children of Adolf Lercher (Marie-Christine, Adolf, Anna, Martha&Lorenz) are specialized in different professions and secure the next generation.

Our staff, all from the region, consists of 13 employees and 3 trainees. Our goal is to provide a perfect stay for you and are happy to welcome you in our hotel!

Our employees are our most valuable asset! Every employee is unique, but only together we are strong and that’s the reason for the love of our profession and the team.
It is important for us to continue to improve our competences and professional attitude and to extend our field of expertise.
We always try to elevate the work atmosphere by collective trade fair visits, company visits, seminars, tastings and sportive activities.
The history of our 3-star and 4-star hotel in Murau
Our approx. 100 beds in 48 rooms are divided into
15 standard bedrooms in the main building – the 3-star hotel
20 double bedrooms, 3 family rooms and 2 maisonettes/suits in the 4-star hotel
10 Murauer rooms, 4-star category in the main building – renovated in December 2016

You are able to enjoy our delicious meals at the traditional “Lercher’s Wirtshaus” with the ancestry hall and the parlour (150 seats). In the summer, we also offer a typical Austrian pavement café and a terrace.

1976 | The hotel in the old town of Murau was taken over by Adolf Lercher |
1977 | Complete hotel construction and expansion to 50 more beds |
1985 | Development of the attic into a small conference centre |
1991 | Development of the attic into a small conference centre |
1998 | Expansion to 100 more beds of the 4-star category with a small wellness area (“Relaxarium”: sauna, steam bath, light therapy, solarium, infrared cabin) |
2014 | Dagmar Lercher took over the management of the hotel |
2018 | The daughter, Anna Lercher, entered the family-run business and Daniel Leitner took over the kitchen management |
2022 | Anna Lercher takes over the management of the hotel |
