Murau – Stadium-trail roundtrip
The access of the trail is located at the stadium and the outdoor pool in Murau. The more difficult training trail is approx. 2 km long, tracked both sides and is suitable for skating as well. There are parking possibilities at the ski-jumping grounds.
From Ranten to Seebach
Access- and parking possibilities are everywhere along the trail, for instance at the “Löwenwirt, the Trattenbauer or the Hornwirt” in Seebach. Fun is guaranteed on 6 km of cross-country trails with tracked trails on both sides. Level of difficulty: easy to intermediate.
Laßnitz – Laßnitz cross-country trail roundtrip
The roundtrip consists of 14,2 km of cross-country trails in total with 3 different stages. The trail is suitable for every skill level. Starting from the “Freizeit-Wirt” in Steinisch Laßnitz, the first stage leads to the crossing “Auen” and back and is 6,1 km long. The second stage leads you further from the crossing to the “Weirerteich” and is only 4 km long. The third stage starts at the snack station “Setz di nieder” at the “Weirerteich” to St. Lambrecht and back.
St. Lorenzen / St. Georgen – high altitude cross-country trail
The access to the high altitude trail is at the bottom terminal of the ski area Kreischberg. Before you are able to start, you have to use the cable car up the mountain. The cross-country trail is about 2,5 km long and has an intermediate level of difficulty.
Enjoy the breathtaking altitude 1.700 m above sea level and ski (in the classical way or skating-style) through the stone pine forests of the Kreischberg. Parking possibilities are available at the bottom station.
St. Lorenzen / St. Georgen – cross-country trail at the golf course
The access to the high altitude trail is at the bottom terminal of the ski area Kreischberg. Before you are able to start, you have to use the cable car up the mountain. The cross-country trail is about 2,5 km long and has an intermediate level of difficulty.
St. Lorenzen / St. Georgen – Murtal cross-country trail
The trail leads from the “Lutzmannsdorferbrücke” along the Mur-cycling path to Stadl an der Mur and is 10 km long. In addition, there are repeatedly small circuits in the field next to the trail. Parking is possible at the bridge next to the curling pitch and at the snack station “Bräuhauser Fam. Pichler Paul” in Stadl an der Mur.
The usage of cross-country trails depends on the snow conditions – the tourism association Murau-Kreischberg is happy to inform you about the trail conditions at any time.
Tobogganing in Ranten
There is a natural toboggan run in Ranten available for you. The toboggan run provides a great time for the whole family. The run leads 3 km downhill into the valley.
