Hiking at the Gstoder
Starting point approx. 15 minutes by car from the Hotel Gasthof Lercher in Murau!
Moderately difficult, but still a very family friendly hiking tour along mountain pastures up to the summit of the Gstoder. We also recommend a visit to the timber museum St. Ruprecht. The best time period for this hiking tour is May to October, during good weather you are also able to hike in November.
After an active day, we are going to spoil you in the Lercher’s Wirtshaus. The menu includes traditional dishes - prepared with regional products. You are able to round off the day with a glass of wine from the Lercher’s wine cellar in the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant.

You have to drive over the toll road to the “Jogaushütte” (not open for guests) – there is a big parking space available.
From here, the tour leads along the ÖAV-markings 799 towards the Dörfler Alm. From this point on, the tour guides you along the border of Salzburg – Styria to the 2.140 m high summit Gstoder.
