From the Murauerhütte to the Frauenalpe
Easy hike with a magnificent view
Starting point approx. 15 min. by car from the Hotel Gasthof Lercher in Murau!
Easy hike in an almost treeless terrain on forest and alpine paths with resting points at the Murauerhütte and the hotel Krische at the starting point. The attractions of this tour are the Apollonia Chapel and the panoramic panel at the summit with a beautiful view during sunny weather. The best time period for this hike is May to October, also November – depending on the weather.
After the hike, we are going to spoil you with a dinner at the Lercher’s Wirtshaus with regional delicacies - with local ingredients only. Enjoy each others company and the cosy atmosphere with a glass of wine - the best way to round off the day.

Tour description:
From the starting point you always have to follow the trail with the label ÖAV Nr. 132/109 to reach the Kasereihütte at 1.691m above sea level. Then you pass the Bernhard Fest Hütte, which leads you directly to the summit cross of the Frauenalpe. If you are thirsty, there are fresh wells for you to enjoy.
