Mountain pasture adventure trail in Murau

Starting point is the top station Kreischberg – with the cable car (only 10 min. from the hotel) you are easily able to reach the top station. From here, you walk along the ski slope to the Rosenkranzhütte. Now the climb begins to the Kirbisch and to the Seeriegel. From here, you are able to enjoy the view to the Hausersee. The tour continues to the Golfnachnock, the Schattloch and to the Prankerhöhe – the most striking summit of them all. Moving on to the Teringerloch, to the Schwarmbrunnhöhe, to the Seebodenhöhe and to the Ursch. The tour goes further towards the Trogerhütte to the Murmelfelsen - from this point on you have to follow the sign “Frauenalpe Nr. 2”. Arrived at the Frauenalpe, an approx. 1 3/3 h long trail leads directly back to Murau (trail 132/109).

The mountain pasture-adventure trail is a 1,5 km long trail with 7 adventure stations. Different themes, such as mountain pasture, forest, water, alpine farming, meadows and pastures, a view to the high valley as well as the high mountain region and geology are explained and can be experienced on more than 20 panels with practical examples. This is way, children and families have the possibility to learn about the meaning of the mountain pasture in an eventful and playful way. You are able to test you knowledge and dexterity at the different stations of the trail (production of Styrian cheese, adventures at the “Summstein”…).Beside all the hikes, you can also spend your vacation at the Hotel Gasthof Lercher with numerous other leisure activities. An exciting day at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is waiting for you in the region Murau-Kreischberg. In the evening you are able to relax during a cosy dinner at the Lercher’s Wirtshaus and during a massage at the in-house wellness area.
