Trail of senses
Hiking throug Austria's biggest stone-pine-forest
Starting point approx. 45 minutes by car from the Hotel Gasthof Lercher in Murau!
The trail of the senses leads around the three mountain lakes of Austria’s biggest stone pine forest. The Turracher Höhe is a 1.763 m high alpine plateau in the middle of the Nockberge. The “Turracher See”, the “Schwarzsee” and the “Grünsee” are framed by summits. This hike is especially recommended in autumn because of the view of colourful forests. An insider tip is the Alpine Art Gallery, where you have the chance to visit an exhibition of the biggest rock crystals of the world.
During your stay at the Hotel Gasthof Lercher, there is always something to experience. Besides hiking tours, you have the possibility to take part in numerous events organized by the hotel and the region. The region Murau-Kreischberg also offers countless leisure activities, such as a visit to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
