The Hotel in Styria with its' small adjacent garden is situated in the middle of the medieval old town of Murau - at the foot of the castle hill of the Princely Family of Schwarzenberg.
The ambience of the house is a mirror of all the centuries it lived through. From the simple inn "Der Lercher", it developed into an elegant and stylish 4* hotel with different room categories, depending on your budget and needs. Nowadays, we welcome our guests in an equally modern as well as traditional establishment, offering any possible comfort.
The Hotel Gasthof Lercher is furnished with various parlours, a bar, a café-terrace, a garden, an elevator, a WiFi-terminal as well as an in-house wellness area. There is free WiFi in the whole facility. A pool table is available for our guests to enjoy their leisure time (€ 1,- per game).
Parking spaces
There are 50 free parking spaces available for our guests in front of the hotel.
The room categories of the Hotel Lercher
The Hotel Lercher has grown steadily over the years. Little by little, the hotel has been formed by connecting the main building and the small restaurant at the former Kothgasse with the "Salzburger Gate". After the last big reconstruction and construction of 25 bed rooms, the house was divided into a 3* and 4* area.
• The 3* low budget room is perfect for transients with a small room-budget, but a desire for delicious food!
• Those seeking relaxation, we recommend the 4* Murauer rooms and the 4* Hotel rooms

The holiday planning for single traveller with children isn't always easy - but we make it possible! Our double-bed rooms & family rooms of the hotel and the guest house are available for a parent with a child/children without any disadvantages regarding the price!
The reduction for children is only valid if staying in the same room with a person paying in full!
The emblem of the "Haus Lercher" dates back to the year 1704. This means more than 300 years of hospitality in the town of Murau, which itself has a 700-year-old history to offer.
